It all began in 2017, when Puppeth was born on the Ethereum blog as a tool for quickly spinning up and managing private development networks.

It was Péter Szilágyi, the Team Lead of Ethereum who introduced Puppeth to the world and decided for him to become the first mascot of Ethereum given his cute nature and catchy name.

Peter brought stickers of Puppeth to different crypto events and conferences such as Devcon.
